BREAKING THE BARRIERS TO ENTRY
XANDER MEDICAL is a pioneering biotechnology startup based in Burlington, Vermont. Founded by siblings Ali and Jackson Bisaccia, the company is dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare technology with innovations in biomechanics and biomedical engineering. Xander Medical is currently developing novel orthopedic systems and instrumentation; with ambitions to explore solutions across a range of clinical industries. Fueled by a mission to creatively address critical healthcare issues, Xander Medical is committed to fostering opportunities for diverse, rising leaders in STEM.
Since its inception in 2022, Xander Medical has broken barriers in the Health Technology industry. After earning a prestigious NIH DEBUT AWARD in 2022, the team became the first DEBUT recipients invited to join the NIH’s C3i Program, making them the youngest graduates in the program’s history. Following the program, the NIH continued to champion Xander Medical, selecting the company as one of only five technology research teams to present their innovations to legislators at the NIBIB’s Discoveries in Health Technologies event. Additionally, CEO Ali Bisaccia was honored as the DEBUT Keynote Speaker at the 2024 Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting.
